Annual Clinic Survey
Our Annual Clinic Survey is now OPEN for all our patients. We would highly appreciate if you are able to take 5 to 10 minutes for your time and enter the Survey.

The Annual Survey aims to get feedback from our patients in regards to clinics performance in meeting the needs of our patients. We would use the conclusions that come out of this survey to improve our service.

Following are the frequently asked question that may be useful to our Patients and their Families

Question: Are your accepting new patients in your Family Practice?
Answer: Yes. With the addition of new Family Physicians, we are now able to accept new patients to join our Family Practice. We have created an online registration form that is available to you. Our Clinic is able to provide services in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu & Arabic.

Question: How can I make an appointment at the clinic?
Answer: We take Walk-in and General Appointment patients. Patients can walk-in during our regular hours of operation. Please check our Appointments Page on the website for the Clinic Hours of Operation and Physician Schedule. You will need an Alberta Health Card and one piece of Photo ID such as Driver's License issued by the government to register. You will need these documents at the time of appointment.

Question: I currently have a Family Physician. Can I change my current Doctor and register with your clinic?
Answer: Yes you can register with us. If you wish to change physicians then we can help you with the transfer of Patient File from your old clinic to our clinic if needed at no cost to you.

 
Question: How do I arrange to visit one of your Specialist Physicians?
Answer:  Please discuss your medical condition with your Family Physician and ask for a referral for one of our Specialist Physicians. If your Family Physician feels that you need to be looked at by a specialist then they can contact our office at (403) 514-6001.
 
Question: I am new to the province of Alberta, how can I apply to obtain Health Card?
Answer:  If you are new to the Province, then you should contact Alberta Health and Wellness to apply for Alberta Health Care Card

Question: What are some of the services that are not covered by Alberta Health Care Plan?
Answer: Alberta Healthcare Plan covers all the costs of visiting a Physician and Inpatient Hospital Services. But there are certain expenses that Alberta Health Care Plan does not cover.
Some of the uninsured services are:
  1. Cost of Prescription drugs
  2. Ambulance Services
  3. Dental and Chiropractic Services
  4. Cosmetic Surgery and procedures for  Cosmetic Purposes
  5. Sick Note
  6. Pre-Employment Medicals
  7. Driver’s Medicals
  8. Insurance Medicals
  9. Executive Health Examinations
 
Question: How can I get Supplementary Health and Dental coverage for me and my family?
Answer: Patients should consider obtaining insurance for services not covered under Alberta Health Plan. There are many insurance companies offering Insurance products to suit your needs. Blue Cross is very popular with Self Employed people.

Question:  How can I access Medical Services after-hours when clinic is not open?
Answer: Our Physician Staff are not available after clinic hours. There are number of options available to Patients if they require Medical Services after hours. Patients can contact HEALTHLink Alberta to get Phone advice. It is a 24 hours a day, seven days a week telephone health advice and health information service answered by registered nurses that anyone in Alberta can access.

Patients can also go to a 24-hr Walk-in clinic or Emergency if needed.
 
Question:  I need a sick note . Do you charge for a sick note?
Answer: Sick note is not covered by Alberta Health Plan. It is a service that we are happy to provide free of charge to our regular patients.
 

Question: What are charges for some of the Uninsured Services?
Answer:

  1. Clinic Visit if you don’t have Alberta Health Card: $45 - $200 depending on the visit.
  2. Sick Note : None
  3. Pre-Employment Medicals: $60
  4. Driver’s Medicals: $60
  5. Insurance Medicals: $60
  6. Executive Health Examinations: $60
  7. Medical Forms: Depends on the form
  8. Doctors note: Depends on the requirement

Please be advised that above fee schedule is for guidance only. The fees do differ from one Physician to another. Please inquire at the Front Desk before booking an appointment with a particular Physician.
